Dr. Jei's Story
Dr. Jeremiah Pearcey, known as Dr. Jei, is a former Division I athlete, combat veteran, and cognitive psychologist whose life’s work bridges elite performance, psychophysiology, and empathy-driven leadership. As Co-Founder and Chief Sport & Performance Psychologist at NSAWMF, he brings a rare combination of lived experience and scientific expertise to elevate how mental fitness is understood and applied in sports.
His journey began on Yokota Air Base in Japan, where he played on an undefeated football team. He went on to play Division I football at the University of Wyoming, helping lead the Cowboys to a victory in the 2004 Las Vegas Bowl. After college, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist, with deployments supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar. It was during this period of extreme operational stress that Dr. Jei’s passion for resilience, mental fitness, and identity formation was born.
Dr. Jei holds a PhD in Psychology (Psychophysiology) from Saybrook University, with continued training from Cornell and Stanford. As CEO of Cosmi Thought Technologies, he consults on stress science, cognitive performance, and resilience interventions, drawing from experience across 45 countries and fluency in three languages. His passion lies in cultivating empathy as a performance asset and a human imperative.
At NSAWMF, Dr. Jei leads the strategy to support athlete performance, emotional regulation, identity development, and sustainable confidence.
